December Favourites.

Sunday, 14 January 2018

It's not too late for my December faves right? I feel like the month of December just revolves around Christmas so even mentioning it makes me shiver a bit. I am just going to share anyway.
My first favourite is the Stilla stay all day liquid eyeliner. I feel like everyone knows about (and loves!)  this already but I didn't understand until I tried it for myself. This product makes wing liner easy peasy, no joke. I just use the tip of the pen to line my lid, then press the whole nib against my skin to create a perfect flick. That doesn't really make sense but just buy it and you will understand how it works. I wear liner everyday so it makes getting ready in the morning that little bit faster and it stays put until the end of the day.

My next favourite is the colour red. This is very unusual for me as I am an avid black wearer, maybe grey at a push. BUT for some reason I am just drawn to the colour at the minute. I have been loving a baggy red jumper that I picked up from H&M but I can't seem to find it online anymore. So, I am sharing my next rouge love, a beautiful rich toned scarf from Laura Ashley. It is so warm and thick I could honestly live in it. It does shed a little though, which is a bit annoying as I tend to be leaving a red fluff trail everywhere. Whilst we are on the topic of fashion I thought I'd share my favourite jumper. This isn't on the H&M site either (sorry!) but I did find one very similar here, it is only a little more than I paid too (I got mine for a steal at £12). Its great to just throw on with some leggings and loafers for a semi-stylish but comfy look.

I don't think I have ever done a favourites post this long before, but we are on to the last thing you'll be happy to know.
I have been really into interior magazines lately. Not any one in particular, I just flick through the ones on the shelves and if I like the look of the content I'll buy it. I have been decorating my bedroom so any inspo has been massively helpful. I am loving the whole, mid century modern/Scandinavian style and looking through the mags has really helped me achieve that kinda look in my bedroom. I am hoping to finish it pretty soon so then I can give you a little look into my new space.

I could go on all day and night but I best stop there before I bore you all. What has been your most recent favourite?

Statement Earrings.

Tuesday, 28 November 2017

I am actually obsessing over statement earrings at the minute, I think everyone is to be fair. Tassels seem to be everyones favourite (I did a post on some here), but big bling-y ones are my go to.
I've picked up a few pairs recently so I thought I would share. Prices start from 99p (I know right, 99p!!) up to £5. I don't pay whole lot for trend pieces so these are great if you want to keep on a budget.

So, the first pair are gold discs from H&M (these are the 99p ones!!). They are surprisingly comfortable and light weight which is always a plus with statement earrings. I hate it when they make your lobes look dead droopy. I did get these ones in the sale so I don't know if they will still be in store, but they are deffo not online anymore. I feel like if you did some research you could find a similar pair. Amazon and Ebay are great for cheap dupes.

You might think the next pair are a bit granny-ish, but I love em. I paid around £2.50 for these (I got a bit of extra discount) from Laura Ashley. I think the oil slick shell and the hammered metal go really well together, it's a lovely contrast. Oh, and again they are not too heavy so they don't give the saggy lobe look, win! But anyway, I think its about time we moved onto the prettiest earrings ever isn't it...

Tadaaaa! How nice are these? You'd never guess they were from Asda would you, and only £5. These total bargains look like they come straight from Mango or Zara right? I love the bling & the gold &the star design... everything about them is just so stylish and very on trend at the minute. I couldn't find these online but they will deffo still be in store, I didn't get them too long ago. Out of the 3 these are 100% my favourite.

Which pair are your faves?

The Velvet Bag.

Wednesday, 1 November 2017

I feel like I am seeing mustard and velvet everywhere at the minute. Clothing, accessories, home decor... you name it! So when I saw the mustard and velvet combo in bag form, I had to grab it. This across body bag (or shoulder bag, you choose) is from good old Primarni. I can't actually remember how much it was. It was either £7 or £9, which is a complete bargain. The quality is pretty good too, especially the chain, it has a nice feel and weight to it.
The stitching kind of reminds me of the YSL bags...you know, with the like V/arrow design. I think they deffo got the inspiration from that or maybe even Gucci.

With 'trend' pieces I don't like to spend a lot of money as I do tend to get bored of them pretty easily (although, I don't think I will ever tire of this beaut) so Primark is always the first place I head to. They have some amazing pieces in at the minute, I definitely need another trip to pick up some more autumnal bits.

Are you into the mustard and/or velvet trend?

Summer Fashion Faves.

Friday, 30 June 2017

The breeze has been warmer and the nights have been lighter and with that comes a whole new summer (day & night) wardrobe. Today I just thought I'd mention 3 faves of mine that I have been loving while the weather has been lovely.

So first off, the shoeeeees! I saw these in Next a few weeks ago and I had to nab them. I did have to size up in them as the size 7 (my usual size) were far to small, so that is something to consider. These little nude beauties were £24 and worth every penny.
I have been pairing my ripped hem jeans with them, they are the perfect combo. My blue jeans are just the Primark basics and then I cut the ends off, all for the grand total of about £9. Sorry for the crappy image but you see the bag in the corner? That is from Primark too, £7! Anything with plants and leaves on it can take my money. I love the fact that it is a canvas bag too, they add such a casual but chic look to an outfit.

Those are my summery fashion faves, what are yours?

Layering Gold Jewellery.

Monday, 19 June 2017

About a week or so ago someone mentioned the brand Bohomoon on Instagram. I checked out their site and really liked the pieces they had. Their jewellery is so cheap and the delivery is only £1.99 too, win! At first I was telling myself 'don't get your hopes up, its cheap it may not be as good as the site says' but when the holographic envelope (I know, holographic!) fell through my letter box I knew I was going to love the items and the brand.

I ordered 3 items, but there are two in particular that I needed to share. I first saw the New Moon necklace and decided to pair that with the Inspire choker. Now I picked these up at £5 each, but currently they back to full price. Just keep your eyes peeled for offers, there is always a bargain to be found.

These pieces are very delicate, I sneezed and the choker did snap (hilarious I know) but the loops just needed tightening up and it was good as new. I also purchased the Moon Rising choker too, but I just wanted to talk about the two gold items because together, they are just heaven!

Have you ever shopped at Bohomoon?

Tassel Earrings.

Sunday, 14 May 2017

I have fallen in love with statement earrings (aka Pat Butcher earrings), especially in tassel form. They add so much more to an otherwise boring outfit. My obsession started when I saw Alex from The Frugality wearing them, she did a whole post here. I've also seen Megan from Pages By Megan supporting them with her sassy outfits.

The pair I am wearing are just a cheap pair from Amazon, they were around £3. I wanted to experiment with a smaller pair, just to make sure I could pull off the trend, before investing in some bolder ones. By bolder I mean big red ones... I just have this image of ruby red tassel earrings, a gingham shirt and bright red lipstick, dreamy!

Do you like statement earrings?

3... April Favourites.

Tuesday, 9 May 2017

I feel like my favourites are getting a bit repetitive now, but hey it shows how much I love these products right? Also, they are always a bit late aren't they? I mean it's the 9th of May already... where is this year going?! Anyway, lets get into my faves.

So my first fave is the YSL Black Opium perfume. I ALWAYS go on about this, I've loved it for years now (I did a full post on it here). Since Feb I have been using my Jimmy Choo perfume but I was just going through it too quickly, so I decided to go back to my YSL for a little bit. I fell in love with it all over again. In short the scent is very sophisticated but still very sweet.

My next fave is kind of what I covered in my last post. I said I was really loving gold, and that included rediscovering my gold Casio again. I have a silver one which I wear all the time but my gold one is the original, the one I got first for my 18th from my sissy. It is slightly worn now but that just adds to the look of it I guess.

And finally, my love of magazines is back! I used to buy Elle religiously, eagerly waiting each month for the new issue. I don't know what happened but I just stopped getting them, I always bloody do that don't I?!! But I love em again, I love flicking through the pages and getting new inspo. And I am really enjoying using them as props and backdrops for my blog photos, it's a win win situation!

Did you have any April favourite?

3 Trends I Am Loving.

Monday, 1 May 2017

It is currently 22:34 on a Sunday evening. I have been attempting to write this post for around an hour now and nothing is coming out... But I am determined to get something up on this little blog of mine, even if it only includes crappy IPhone pictures and a minimal amount of writing. So anyway, lets talk about the 3 trends I am currently loving.

Gold.
Come to think of it, it's not really a trend is it? I mean golden jewellery is timeless right? Up until now I have (more or less) always been a silver gal but warmer golden tones are just calling my name, especially now the weather is warming up. I've even been buying gold homeware bits too. The little leaf dish above is from Primark, it was only £3.

Layering.
Probably one of my favourite trends of the mo, layering vests on top of t-shirts. I know it is a love/hate thing, but I seriously love it. Layered in the right way with a pair of raw hem, blue jeans is a match made in heaven. I am especially loving slogan or graphic t-shirts peeping out from under a sheer cami, yaaas!

Gingham.
Gingham is baaack. It never really phased me before but this time around I am loving it. My collection is growing, with a lot of the items being summer pieces. I don't really wear colour so a pattern like this is a nice alternative.

So, what are your favourite trends this season?

Oh, and look! I am almost at 200 followers on Bloglovin! As soon as I hit the big 200 I am going to do a giveaway, so keep an eye out.

Miu Miu Lace Up Ballet Flats Dupes.

Sunday, 12 February 2017

I have been in love with the Miu Miu Lace Up Ballet Flats since I saw Lizzy from Shot From The Street wearing them (and that was quite a while ago). Of course I haven't got £500 laying around to splash out, so I went out on the hunt for some dupes. Again, this was a little while ago, but I came across some good alternatives on Zara. Some were a tad more feminine than the Mui Mui ones, and some a little more tougher looking. For some strange reason I left it at that and never purchased any of them. I don't know why, I spent so long searching the internet then all of a sudden I just forgot about it all.
But recently, whilst browsing the deadly Zara sale, I came across my favourite pair of the bunch reduced to just £7.99 (originally £30) YAAAAS!

So, here are the most ugliest prettiest shoes ever! Zara's take on the Miu Miu flats are not a bad dupe. I mean they don't have the statement tie up ribbons but I feel like the blue satin knots on the front make up for that unique element.

As for comfort and sizing I'd say they are pretty good. I have braved wearing them in this freezing cold weather and I can say, they a really comfortable. The sizing is great too, they fit like a glove.

Do you like the style of these shoes?

Christmas Party: The Outfit.

Tuesday, 20 December 2016

An outfit post, whaaaat? It is very rare I publish outfit posts as I find them hard to shoot (hence the rubbish photos, I am sorry ):). I am also far to awkward to get someone to shoot them for me. It is something I'd like to do a little more though, maybe that should be my new years resolution?!

Todays outfit is a 'party' look. I say 'party', its basically just a black dress. Lets just say black is my fave colour to wear, haha! This shift dress is from Asos, I paid around £22 but it looks like it has gone back up to £28, which is still a reasonable price! It fits fab, it is super comfortable and I think the lace adds an extra bit of chicness.

I paired this dress with some black, strappy heels. I can't remember where I got them from but I have found an alternative here, on Asos.

So thats my super quick Christmas party look! Its realllly comfortable and pretty plain... or should we refer to it as simplistic? Sounds a bit trendier that way doesn't it haha!
Do you play it safe by wearing black or do you like to go all out with colour and accessories?

Check out Christmas Party: The Make Up here.

3... Autumn Fashion Faves!

Sunday, 23 October 2016

Todays post is in collab with Quirky Dom! Her blog is so lovely and her style is amazing!  We decided to do something autumn & fashion related. I went down the autumn fashion faves route and Dom put together three autumn looks

So, on with the post! My first favourite has to be the bell sleeve top. I know, I know, I keep going on about them but I love em! Just a small detail like a flared sleeve can make all the difference to an otherwise boring outfit. The one pictured above is from Zara, can you believe it was only £18! I've worn it so much already and had loads of compliments about it.

A new trend I love this year is the metallic tee (is it even a trend this year? haha! I like it anyway!). I have never been one for metallics, I've always shied away from them... but this year I am giving them a go. The silver pleated tee is from Primark, it only cost me £8. Amazing right?! This paired with a long coat, black jeans and a thick scarf is the perfect (and unconventional?) autumn outfit!

And finally, a kind of love & hate relationship, the suede cord choker. I am not the biggest fan of chokers. I mean I like the thin cord ones and the chain ones, but I am still undecided about the larger material ones everyone seems to be wearing. I think this cowboy looking one is more my style, I just need to learn to keep it on for longer than an hour. They start to annoy me after a while haha! Mine was from Amazon, around £3 I think.

These are not the traditional autumn trends, like thick jumpers or dark lips. These are what I am loving this year. What is your fashion fave this autumn?

Oh, and don't forget to check out Dom's blog!!

Gucci Loafer Dupes.

Tuesday, 23 August 2016

I recently discovered the Gucci loafers and I fell in love with them, especially the backless ones with the fur inside *drools*. Although I love them I don't have £400 upwards to spend, I don't think I'd spend that much on a pair of shoes anyway to be honest! So I went on the hunt for a cheaper alternative. I wasn't really bothered about them having the fur interlining (I thought it would have been harder to find dupes with the fur inside), I just like the backless detail and the shape of the shoe. I knew Topshop had a few different styles (here) but nothing really caught my eye. I kept hunting around and came across a pair from Next. I never used to go into Next, I always thought it was more of a maturer lady shop shall we say... but recently I have been buying stuff from there every time I have popped in (RIP bank account). That includes these loafers. The perfect Gucci dupes! Well, in my eyes anyway!

I love the light brown suede, the golden buckle and the strap on the back of the shoe for extra support. Did I mention the best part? They were only £30! I was so chuffed when I came across them, I knew it was something that I wanted to share on my blog straight away!

Do you like the loafer trend?

Looking Fresh All Day Long! - Featuring TM Lewin's Infinity Suit.

Friday, 19 August 2016

Looking and feeling fresh all day long can be difficult. Whether its at work or at a day long event everyone wants to look smart from start to finish. So I thought I'd put a post together along with a few tips!

-Men-
So for men I would recommend a high quality suit. TM Lewin's Infinity Suit would be the perfect piece for a long day at work/event. It offers greater protection against crushing and creasing that will help you stay looking sharp all day long. As well as the crease resistance the Infinity Suits open weave absorbs excess water, leaving you feeling cool & comfortable. To go along with the new pieces they put the suit to the test and my gosh, it looks amazing!

Heres a sneak peak! It will be released tonight at 6pm.
Chase Armitage (the model in this vid) has been credited as one of the most experienced and creative directors shooting Parkour and Free Running. Amazing right? An ad like this shows off just how amazing and practical the Infinity Suit is!

-Women-
My first tip for women is again, investing in a good piece of clothing. Whether you go for a dress or trousers, it is worth investing in high quality pieces! I love Mango and Zara for smart looking investment pieces. My second tip is to always keep some make up in your bag (if you wear it that is!). I always keep my beauty blender, concealer, eyeliner and some lipstick in my bag, just so I can touch up throughout the day.

Those are my tips, what are yours? And how amazing does the Infinity Suit look?!

Shop Your Own Wardrobe.

Saturday, 25 June 2016

Shopping in your own wardrobe sounds a bit weird doesn't it, but its actually amazing at the treasures you can find in the back of your wardrobe. I have a clothing rail in my room then a couple of boxes that I keep stored away. Every now and again I dig around in the boxes to see what I can find to add to my rail of current clothing.

So, how do you do it? First gather every single bit of clothing you have, from the back your wardrobe, storage and even the wonky old draw chest that is crammed with clutter (we all have one don't worry haha). Once everything is together create 3 piles:
Pile 1. The things you currently wear.
Pile 2. Stuff you don't want anymore that can be sold or given away.
Pile 3. The hidden gems that you forgot about.
(I'd put the radio on and grab some snacks whilst doing this because it could take a while!)

Now, its time to bag up those old clothes and throw them out of the way! And then there was two... hang up/fold the clothes that you currently wear or that are new. With the 'treasure pile' (as I like to call it) try them on, style them with things you kept from the previous pile and see if they work or not. If not throw them with the rubbish pile, if they look amaze hang them up with the rest of the pieces. You will be so surprised at the things that you can find. See the jeans above? I have had those things lurking in the darkness for years. I bought them not knowing how to style them so they got pushed to the back. When I came back to them a year later they where too tight, so again they got pushed to the back. This summer I dug them out once again, styled them with some of the newer pieces from my wardrobe and hey presto! I had a chic new look for the cooler summer days.

It is a little mission to get through this process, but it is something you will not regret!
Do you ever shop through your own wardrobe?

Currently Loving: Culotte/Wide Leg Jumpsuits.

Sunday, 15 May 2016

I am currently loving culotte jumpsuits. I find them really comfortable, easy to throw on and flattering on my body which are my musts for a Summer outfit.

The first culottes jumpsuit is from New Look. I got this a few weeks back, but its still available here (was £22, now £13!!). I first saw this on their Instagram and instantly fell in love with the wide leg and dark floral. I've not figured out what kind of shoes I'd wear with it yet, so if you have any suggestions please let me know!

The second pair are from Primark. I was actually really surprised to find something like this in Primark, I love the stuff they have in at the mo! Anyways, this was just £15 and although I look like a human cactus/gardener in it I am going to be wearing it a lot this Summer.

Do you like the culottes trend?
