The Christmas Tag.

So I have decided to blog every other day in December woohoo! Its going to be a mixture of everything, so hopefully there will be something for everyone. As part of my Christmas series I decided to start with the Christmas tag (obvs, duh!). I only picked a few questions out of the bunch, but here it is anyway!

What is your favourite Christmas film?

My favourite Christmas film has to be The Grinch. Nothing makes me feel more festive than sitting down with some chocolate, snuggling up in a million blankets and watching the old classic. I even dressed up as a Who one time... yes, sad I know haha!

Have you ever had a white Christmas?

I have had a white Christmas as in snow being on the floor on Christmas day, but I can never actually remember it snowing on the day. I'd love to experience it though!

What is your favourite Christmas song?

WHAM! Last Christmas! You can't beat it... not even Mariah can beat it!

Do you open any presents on Christmas eve?

When I was little we were never allowed to open our presents until Christmas morning. I opened presents off my friends before Christmas, but never ones from family. My mum always used to say it was bad luck...

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to the most this year?

I love going to Manchester Christmas markets! Their baileys hot chocolates are to die for! Oh, and I love all of the little market stalls that overflow with Christmassy treats! If you haven't been I really recommend taking a trip and checking them out.

What is your all time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

Not many people say this but I absolutely love Christmas pudding. That with a boat load of warm custard mmmmm, its my fave!

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

It would have to be somewhere cold and snowy! It's not Christmas if it's not cold (put on as many layers as you can until you cannot move) weather. I think staying in Scotland in a little snowy cottage would be nice.

Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

Not going to lie, I proper go all out on the Christmas wrapping. I end up wrapping everything for my dad, sister and friends too. I love wrapping presents and tying them up with pretty ribbons and adding accessories. I did a post on Christmas wrapping last year, have a look!

The Autumn Tag.

I have done a couple of tag posts before and they are not usually my thing BUT, I couldn't pass on the Autumn tag! I found this tag on Makeup Savvy's blog, go check it out. Lets get cracking! By the way, this post is probably going to be very Halloween related sorryyyy.

What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

I don't really know when I start feeling in the autumny mood. It just comes all of a sudden and I feel the need to light my candles, drink hot chocolate and watch Halloween-y films!

What is your favourite Fall scent?

My motto is the more sickly the better! I really love warm, cinnamon scented candles. I also love the apple spice potpourri scent from Yankee candle, mmmm!

What is your favourite Autumn colour?

I struggled with this questions because I tend to wear the same colours all year round *cough* black *cough*. I suppose I do start to add emerald greens and strong mustards to my colour palette.

What is your favourite Autumn drink?

It is deffo not the pumpkin spice frappuccino. I got it the other day, trying to be all autumnal and what not, but it just made me feel a bit sick to be honest. I think I'd just have to stick to a good old hot chocolate!

What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Fall?

I am more into films than TV shows, although I do love American Horror Story. My favey films are A Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween Town... basically all the kiddie ones hahaha!

What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?

Halloween of course. It's not as big as here in the UK as it is in America but I love browsing the decoration aisles and carving pumpkins. Oh, and this year I am going to Farmaggedon, yaaaaas!

What is your favourite make up look come the Autumnal weather?

I am going to sound like a basic B right now, but who cares... dark red lippie! Dark lips and a winged liner are my go to.

Q&A.

I am back today with a q&a (Thanks for the idea, Marina). I chose 10 question from the get to know me tag... so lets see how this goes!

1- What is your middle name? 

My middle name was meant to be Rose (thats what the r stands for in poppyrkay) but it never got put on my birth certificate. So it's just plain old Poppy Kay.

2- What was your favourite/worst subject in High School?

Worst subject in school was deffo maths, I just couldn't do it! My best would have been fashion/textiles, I loved the lesson and my teachers.

3- What is your favourite perfume?

This is going to sound strange but it was the perfume I used to wear to school. It was like a £5 Morgan one (remember Morgan??). It was super sickly sweet but I loved it. Now I lean more towards my YSL Black Opium one, it's a bit more sophisticated for my age now, haha.

4- What would you (or have you) name your children?

I don't really want kids in the future but I love the name Florence for a girl and Bertie for a boy. Old fashioned names are the cutest.

5- What is your favourite movie?

I could never pick one movie!! But I love everything 90's early 00's, like 10 Things I Hate About you and Legally Blonde.

6- What is your favourite drink?

Favourite drink is tea, obvs. Favourite alcoholic drink is between a mojito or a porn star martini, they are soooo good!

7- Do you have any siblings?

I have a sister and two brothers. I am the youngest :(.

8- How would you describe your fashion sense?

This is a hard one because I feel like I don't have a proper style. Like sometimes I want to wear all black and then other times I want to feel girly...but then some times I want to look smart, oh and sometimes I wanna wear a million layers. So it all depends on my mood really, you know what I mean?

9- What are some of your favourite TV shows?

Favourite show ever is hands down, My Mad Fat Diary. Probably because it is set in the 90's, haha! I love American Horror Story too.

10- Tell us one of your bad habits!

I don't think its classed as a habit, but when I leave my house for work I have to walk half way to the bus stop then turn back to double check the door is locked properly. And to see if I left the straighteners on or something. Its so bad but I just can't help but doubt myself. I have almost missed my bus a couple of times because of it!

The Versatile Blog Awards.

So, I am currently rearranging my room (yesssss, againnn) and I thought I would take a break and write a few blog posts the first one being this one, the versatile blog awards.

ONE - Erm, so I guess I am pretty tall. I am just over 5'9, is that even classed as tall any more? Anyway I have always been a bit of a lanky one, I haven't got a clue where I got it from though because my mum and dad are really short. 

TWO - I have around 22 cacti and plants dotted around my tiny room. I make my room sound like a right jungle don't I, but it isn't as bad as it sounds. I have the miniature cacti you see so it kinda justifies it...right?

THREE - I actually love thunderstorms. I just find it really cosy and exciting when you're all tucked up in bed or inside and its thundering and stormy outside. We had a really bad one up North a few weeks back (the picture above). I was convinced it was aliens or something...

FOUR - I can never finish books. I try my hardest to read but I just cant seem to lose myself in a book. I recently finished watching My Mad Fat Diary which was on E4 and I want to read the books...lets just say I am still on the first couple of pages a month in. There was one book series I did finish a while back. It was Six Steps To A Girl by Sophie McKenzie. It was probably aimed towards kids to be honest, pha.

FIVE - I have an unhealthy obsession with mugs. I sound like a proper old lady right now. I don't know what it is but I just like buying new mugs. I have like 10 mugs just for myself that no one else is allowed to use. I suppose I'll be prepared when I move out though mwhaha!

SIX - I really like pesto. Its my fave thing to eat! I have it with pasta, on pizzas basically I have it with everything possible. My sister says i eat it too much, shes' probably right.

SEVEN -  I guess the last fact about me that everybody who knows me will know is that I love art and fashion and anything that involves being creative. I'd love to wonder around London or some big city going to different galleries one day. I studied fashion and double art at college and got 3 A-levels so I was pretty happy!
