Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream.

I have heard so many good things about the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream, I thought it was about time I tested it out for myself. 
The first thing I noticed about this product is that it isn't really a cream. I'd say it is more of a gel consistency. At first I wasn't sure how to apply it as it was to thick to rub into my skin. I later found out (after layering a shit ton on my face and wondering why it was so heavy) that it should really be warmed up in your hands and patted into the skin. Since that (revolutionary) step, I have been loving this product. I mainly use it for my dry skin around my mouth and forehead but it can be used for chapping, peeling, sunburn and scrapes. It also says on the bottle that it can be used for the brows, dry hands and to smooth cuticles and nails... what ever that means?

This product isn't for you if you don't like a heavy consistency and feel to the skin. I put this cream on before I go to bed and let it soak in during the night. Otherwise it just makes my face look super shiny and greasy. Oh, and the scent? It smells slightly rosey but to be honest, it just smells like a spa if you know what I mean. I have linked the scent with relaxing now, so as soon as I pop it on I am ready to drift off to sleep.

And finally the packaging, I mean to be fair it doesn't offend me but its nothing special. It is basically just like a swanky 50g toothpaste tube, but as long as the product inside works it really doesn't bother me. And trust me, the product really does work. I have deffo noticed a difference with my skin, it isn't as dry and my make up applies to my face a lot nicer.

Lush's Mask Of Magnaminty Face Mask.

I haven't done a beauty post in a little while so lets talk about a new favey product of mine. Mask Of Magnaminty from Lush (obvs, haha!) is a minty, multi-purpose mask containing honey and kaolin, to help maintain magnificent skin... Sounds fab right? I've used this loads now so I feel like I can talk a little about it. 

Lets start off with the one thing we all wonder about, the smell. At first I wasn't so keen, I mean I love minty scents but this one has a funny undertone to it... like a smokey one. It's hard to explain. If you ever go into the Lush store just give it a wiff and you will know what I mean. Its easy enough to get used to though, so don't let that put you off.

As for the product itself, I love it! It leaves my skin feeling super refreshed and there is always a visible difference to my skin tone, it just looks so much brighter. As for helping my (pretty bad) outbreaks, it isn't the greatest product I've ever used. I mean it has helped my spots slightly, but they are still red and quite painful at the mo... I think a trip to the doctors is needed for that situation though. 

Oh, and I forgot to mention. Before applying the product I have to give it a good stir. An oily substance builds up on top of the mask, I guess it is just the product settling in it container. Anyway, I still love this product, more so for my skin complexion rather than my spots.

L'Oreal Paris Extraordinary Cleansing Oil.

The L'oreal Paris Extraordinary Cleansing Oil. A fab make up remover that leaves the skin feeling fresh and smooth!

If I find a product I really like, I will write about it multiple times (Like the Sleek Highlighter, Black Opium, Aveeno Lotion blah blah blah). Sorry if I go on about things too much, I just like to share my faves!! 
Anyway, back to the cleansing oil. It's a great way of removing stubborn make up, it even gets my waterproof eyeliner off. Oil based products can sometimes scare people and I am not going to lie, I was one of those people. I thought they clogged pores up and left the skin feeling greasy, but not this one. Instead it makes my skin feel super clean... I can't describe it, its just amaze!

And as for the question everyone ask... what is the scent like? Haha, come on we have all judged a product before on its smell rather than the benefits. BUT you'll be glad to know that this product smells lovely! Its fresh and kind of apple-y, you know what I mean?!

It's an all round great product that I would highly recommend!

Aveeno Skin Relief Lotion.

For the past 2/3 months or so I have suffered with dry skin. It was mainly on my arms, chest, my forehead and around my mouth. My face was so dry that it was getting to the point that my foundation would just flake off... like I could literally just touch my head and it was like dandruff. It might sound petty but it was really getting me down. I am not a big lotion user, which is bad I know(!), until I heard about Aveeno. Someone mentioned it to me so I went out, parted with the £5 and I haven't looked back since. It does what it says on the bottle, literally instant relief (and results in my case). I used this on my face, chest and elbows mainly, the biggest result was deffo on my face. Are you even meant to use lotion on your face? Oh well, It cleared up the dry skin near my mouth immediately which was great! I didn't feel like the joker any more haha! I started to notice that my foundation started to go on a lot easier and my skin started the have that 'airbrushed' effect again. 

I have been sharing this find with everyone! I've got my mum hooked on it, my sister, my friends...everyone! Its been heavily tested so I thought it was about time that I shared it on my blog. This is just my opinion though, like I say every time, I am not a skin care pro or whatever... in fact I am far from it! I just want to share my opinion. 

So basically it is amazing! It smells lovely (a subtle hint of creamy oats), it soaks into the skin straight away, it isnt greasy at all and the 200ml will last a good while! 

I havent got a bad word to say to be honest, its honestly changed my skin for the better!

The Perfect Skin Care Combo.

I have seen a massive improvement with my skin recently and I am guessing it is down to these two beauts - the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser & the Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. I've only just noticed that these two products are both cleansers but this is just is working for me at the mo I guess! Remember I am not a skin care pro, I just use what makes my skin feel good and gives me positive results.

I usually use the Charcoal Cleanser first, pumping a generous amount onto my finger tips and gently rubbing it into my skin. It really feels like it is giving my skin a deep clean and opening up my pores. This is when I go onto using the foaming cleanser.

I've yapped on about the Tea Tree collection from The Body Shop before (here & here), I have just always had great results with their stuff. I actually received the cleanser for my birthday. I'd never tried the foaming cleanser so I had high hopes for it, and I wasn't disappointed! I have barely had any spots since using the range (which is always a plus!).

The only 'bad' difference I have seen with my skin is that it has become a tad dry. I used to have a really oily T-zone but I think the tea tree has dried that up a little bit too much. So I am on the look out for a good moisturiser now, let me know if you have any recommendations for a newbie to dry skin!

3...Lush Bubble Bars.

I've noticed that I like to pair things into 3's... It sounds weird but it did lead to a blog post idea! So, I thought I would start with 3 of my favourite Lush bubble bars.

The first bubble bar, which unfortunately is a seasonal one, is 'Sparkly Pumpkin' (I can only find it on the US site). I tried this for the first time this year and I really enjoyed it. Although it looks scarily glittery (try saying that 3 times fast!) it does not appear like that in the water. It smells so fruity and warming, its great for a cosy winter warming bath.

Next is one I have mentioned before and one that everyone loves, 'The Comforter'. If you are a newbie to Lush I would deffo recommend this bubble bar to get you started. Just try it, you will not be disappointed!

And the final one out of the three is 'Creamy Candy'. If you like super sweet and bubble gum fragrances this is the one for you. It is sickly sweet but I love it and the smell lingers on the skin for a good while after your bath.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Collection (REVIEW)

It's been well over a month now so I thought it was about time that I updated you on my experience with the Tea Tree collection from The Body Shop. I first wrote about this collection when I was suffering from really painful spots, mainly on the big ol' forehead. As well as spots my skin looked shallow and dull, I just basically wanted an all rounder product and this is what I was recommended.

I wish I had taken before and after pictures but too be honest I don't see a massive difference. My mum and my sister have noticed that I haven't been getting as many spots. This is true, I haven't, but the ones I have been getting have still been pretty big and painful. I've started getting the odd one or two on my cheeks which I have never had before. Although it hasn't massively affected my spots the overall look of my skin has improved a decent amount! My skin feels sooo much softer and I think it looks a lot brighter too. 

I also love the feeling of washing, toning and moisturising my face. It's like you can feel your pours being cleaned out (that sounds horrible doesn't it? haha!). I think my favourite product is the toner, it just gives you the super clean feeling.

So, would I recommend this product? Yeah I would, it has improved my skin in some aspects. I think things work differently on different skin types, it just either works for you or it doesn't.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Collection.

For the past couple of months I have been suffering from really painful spots on my chin, forehead and nose. I have zero amount of knowledge about skin types and all that jazz so my sister ended up taking me into The Body Shop and asking one of the ladies who worked there for some advice. Straight away she took me to the tea tree range, and explained the benefits of it. So, this is what I ended up purchasing.

The first thing she handed me was the Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash. She told me to simply wash my face with this morning and night. I tried it for the first time last week and my god, my face has never felt so fresh. It is hard to explain but its like your face feels really cold and clean. 

She then showed me the Tea Tree Toner, she explained how this gets rid of all traces of make up and makes the skin spotlessly clean. I used this before the facial wash and after, just to make sure everything is off.

And finally I got the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion. I add a pea sized amount and rub it into my skin, avoiding the eyes. Again this gives the cool, refreshing feeling to the skin.

She said the skin regenerated every 28 days so I reckon I will report back in a month or so to see if it really has worked! Have you ever tried The Body Shop Tea Tree range?

3 Bath Time Favourites!

I wanted to share a few items that I have been loving recently but it wasn't enough for a monthly favourites sooooo, I thought I would just throw them together to form a bath time favourites.

A must have for a relaxing bath has to be a Lush bath bomb, melt, bubble bar or whatever else there is! The product I have been loving the most is the lush Comforter Bubble Bar...I think that's what its called anyway. I crumble a tiny amount under the running tap and pink bubbly water appears straight away. Oh, and the smell! It is super fruity and really relaxing, especially just before bed.

I usually give my hair a quick wash before I hop into the bath and then I move onto using a conditioning hair mask. I have been using the Lee Stafford treatment for hair that never grows past a certain length (what is it with products having super long names recently?!). I was half and half when buying this product as I don't usually purchase products that supposedly 'makes your hair grow'...I mean that's a pretty big promise right? Anyway I gave it a go and even though I cant see any length difference (its been a good month and half) it does make my hair feel super smooth and silky but still easy to work with.

Once I have my hair mask on I go onto scrub myself with the Original Source coconut shower gel. I never used to like coconut scents but ever since giving a coconut candle a try I became hooked! This shower gel smells just like the candle I bought and I am loving it! I think the fragrance is so relaxing, it makes me want to go on holiday and lay on a sandy beach under the boiling hot sunshine.

Anyway, those are my 3 favourites to use when taking a relaxing bath. What are yours?

A Small Lush Haul.

When I say this is a small Lush haul I mean its a small lush haul... I don't think I've ever walked away from Lush with only 3 products before but the store in Manchester is just manic on a Saturday afternoon. I went in with an idea of what I wanted and I was out as quick as possible!

The first product I went for was the Tea Tree Toner Tab. I had seen these lurking about in the Lush stores for ageeees and always wanted to pick one up to see what they'd be like. You just drop the small tab into some boiling water and let the steam and vapours cleanse your pours. I have been having troubled skin again recently so I am looking forward to giving this a go.

The next two things I picked up are bath bombs. The first one I went for was Space Girl, it is my all time favourite. I love the sweetie smell it has, the colour it turns the water and basically everything else about it! I then reached for the Fizzbanger which I am sure I've had before but I am not too certain. Anyway, I really like the smell of this, to me its smells really fruity and lemony.

So, that's all I got on this trip but I plan to go again very soon and get A LOT more.

Barefoot Botanical Rosa Fina Face & Décolletage Oil.

I have been wanting to add something new to my skin routine for a while now. My skin is not the best condition, it looks so dull and lifeless. As i was planning to splurge on multiple skin products my sister came home with two bottles of the Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Face & Décolletage Oil, jeez that was a mouthful! I've heard of Barefoot Botanicals before but i always thought it was created with the older ladies in mind. Anyway as soon as i saw the words 'powerful vitamins to smooth away blemishes and visibly lift your complexion' i was sold. That night i sparingly glided the oil over my neck and face and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and my skin was visibly brighter and felt super soft! I have been using it for a week now and although it isn't really healing my spots it is making my skin look a whole lot cleaner and refreshed.

As for the packaging, it is so pretty. The bottle is frosted glass and on top of the lid is a button. When you press it it sucks up the product, to release it you just press the button again. I really like the idea of this because it makes the process of using the product a lot cleaner and hassle free!

The only down side is the price of the product for the amount you get. As you can see, compared to my hand, it is a pretty small bottle. I use about two drops and really work it into the skin to make the most out of it. I reckon it will last me a while but it doesn't really justify the price.

I would recommend this product for people of all ages and skin types, it really does make dull skin look amazing!
