December Favourites.

Sunday, 14 January 2018

It's not too late for my December faves right? I feel like the month of December just revolves around Christmas so even mentioning it makes me shiver a bit. I am just going to share anyway.
My first favourite is the Stilla stay all day liquid eyeliner. I feel like everyone knows about (and loves!)  this already but I didn't understand until I tried it for myself. This product makes wing liner easy peasy, no joke. I just use the tip of the pen to line my lid, then press the whole nib against my skin to create a perfect flick. That doesn't really make sense but just buy it and you will understand how it works. I wear liner everyday so it makes getting ready in the morning that little bit faster and it stays put until the end of the day.

My next favourite is the colour red. This is very unusual for me as I am an avid black wearer, maybe grey at a push. BUT for some reason I am just drawn to the colour at the minute. I have been loving a baggy red jumper that I picked up from H&M but I can't seem to find it online anymore. So, I am sharing my next rouge love, a beautiful rich toned scarf from Laura Ashley. It is so warm and thick I could honestly live in it. It does shed a little though, which is a bit annoying as I tend to be leaving a red fluff trail everywhere. Whilst we are on the topic of fashion I thought I'd share my favourite jumper. This isn't on the H&M site either (sorry!) but I did find one very similar here, it is only a little more than I paid too (I got mine for a steal at £12). Its great to just throw on with some leggings and loafers for a semi-stylish but comfy look.

I don't think I have ever done a favourites post this long before, but we are on to the last thing you'll be happy to know.
I have been really into interior magazines lately. Not any one in particular, I just flick through the ones on the shelves and if I like the look of the content I'll buy it. I have been decorating my bedroom so any inspo has been massively helpful. I am loving the whole, mid century modern/Scandinavian style and looking through the mags has really helped me achieve that kinda look in my bedroom. I am hoping to finish it pretty soon so then I can give you a little look into my new space.

I could go on all day and night but I best stop there before I bore you all. What has been your most recent favourite?

June Favourites.

Sunday, 9 July 2017

I am just going to come out and say it... It's going to be Christmas before we know it! I know I said the C word in July but oh my word, where are the months going? Before we know it, it will be the new year. Anyway for now, we'll just stick to the June favourites, eh?

My first fave of this month is Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in the colour Awe. At first I was a bit scared of using a gel on my brows but it is the easiest product to work with ever. It is so much easier to use than powder, and it gives the brows a much more defined look. The colour is the perfect ashy brown to match with my hair and skin tone. To apply the gel I have been using the Illamasqua angled brush, again this gives the brows a super sharp & neat look, which I love. I also love how dense and small the bristles are, it picks up the perfect amount of product to distribute throughout the brow.

My next favourites are a few homey bits, which I shared on Insta a few weeks ago. I mean, it's a bit random to have a tray in my favourites but when its this pretty how can I not? I picked this gold hammered metal tray up at Sainsbury's for £9, bargain right? It is actually a serving tray but I think it looks so chic styled with simple accessories. Speaking of accessories, I have been loving fake greenery. With going from my mums to my dads it's getting hard to keep my plants and flowers alive. Fake plants are a great alternative, my fave being eucalyptus. I just picked mine up from The Range. It was dead cheap too, only £1.99.

What are your June faves?

Summer Fashion Faves.

Friday, 30 June 2017

The breeze has been warmer and the nights have been lighter and with that comes a whole new summer (day & night) wardrobe. Today I just thought I'd mention 3 faves of mine that I have been loving while the weather has been lovely.

So first off, the shoeeeees! I saw these in Next a few weeks ago and I had to nab them. I did have to size up in them as the size 7 (my usual size) were far to small, so that is something to consider. These little nude beauties were £24 and worth every penny.
I have been pairing my ripped hem jeans with them, they are the perfect combo. My blue jeans are just the Primark basics and then I cut the ends off, all for the grand total of about £9. Sorry for the crappy image but you see the bag in the corner? That is from Primark too, £7! Anything with plants and leaves on it can take my money. I love the fact that it is a canvas bag too, they add such a casual but chic look to an outfit.

Those are my summery fashion faves, what are yours?

3...May Favourites.

Wednesday, 7 June 2017

Hey guys! I feel like I have been saying this in every post recently, but I apologise for the huge gaps between each blog post. I just don't know where the time is going at all. I mean, we are in June already!! Anyways, I am back today with my May faves.

My first favourite (and definitely a favourite forever) is my new tattoo. Myself, my sister and her boyfriend decided to get the Manchester working bee tattoo in honour of the victims at the Ariana Grande concert. All of the money goes towards the people and families effected by the attack so its nice to know you're helping out, even if it is only in a small way.

Another fave of mine is the Dermacol foundation. I have seen loads of videos on YouTube about this product, even Jeffree Star did a review on it! I decided to try it out for myself and oh my gosh, I love it. It is a very thick full coverage foundation so I don't wear it everyday. When I do wear this product it makes my skin completely flawless (you only need to use a tiny amount too). The staying power isn't the best, I mean it last for a good while but at the end of the day you can start to see the flaws in my skin. I think this is a product you need to try for yourself, its either a love or a hate.

And last but not least, I am loving the Milani clear brow gel. I ordered this on a whim from Beauty Bay, but I ended up absolutely loving it. It keeps my eyebrows in shape all day, without making them feel crispy. My eyebrows do tend to get a bit crazy, so a product like this is a life saver!

What have been your May faves?

3... April Favourites.

Tuesday, 9 May 2017

I feel like my favourites are getting a bit repetitive now, but hey it shows how much I love these products right? Also, they are always a bit late aren't they? I mean it's the 9th of May already... where is this year going?! Anyway, lets get into my faves.

So my first fave is the YSL Black Opium perfume. I ALWAYS go on about this, I've loved it for years now (I did a full post on it here). Since Feb I have been using my Jimmy Choo perfume but I was just going through it too quickly, so I decided to go back to my YSL for a little bit. I fell in love with it all over again. In short the scent is very sophisticated but still very sweet.

My next fave is kind of what I covered in my last post. I said I was really loving gold, and that included rediscovering my gold Casio again. I have a silver one which I wear all the time but my gold one is the original, the one I got first for my 18th from my sissy. It is slightly worn now but that just adds to the look of it I guess.

And finally, my love of magazines is back! I used to buy Elle religiously, eagerly waiting each month for the new issue. I don't know what happened but I just stopped getting them, I always bloody do that don't I?!! But I love em again, I love flicking through the pages and getting new inspo. And I am really enjoying using them as props and backdrops for my blog photos, it's a win win situation!

Did you have any April favourite?

3... Early January Favourites.

Wednesday, 25 January 2017

So I know we haven't left January yet but I am dying to share my 3 favourites. The first being the Irresistible Me Jade (Dual Voltage) Hair Straightening Brush. I did a whole review on this tool if you want to give it a read. But just a quick round up, I love this brush. It is super handy to have on those busy/need to get out of the door/I am going to miss my bus days. You simply brush over your hair a few times and the brush does it all. Like I said in my review, it doesn't give the ultra straight look, but on the days I want my hair to have more volume and a bit more life, I deffo reach for this handy tool. Irresistible Me also sell hair extensions & accessories, so if this brush isn't for you there is always something else (which you are bound to love) on their site.

My second favourite is the Zara top you can see above. It is one of the loveliest tops I have purchased in a while. At the moment I just seem to be buying basics, so something like this is a nice piece to add to my, otherwise boring, wardrobe. Oh, and can you believe it was in the sale, just £12.99! I never grabbed something and run to the till so quick haha! The v neck is a reasonable length and I love the loose fit with the peplum bottom, it's larvelyyyyy.

My last favourites of January are my Vans. I have always loved their slip ons, especially their checked ones. I remember in high school though I got Converse instead because they were more 'trendy' at the time. Oh, the days of trying to keep up with trends haha. Don't get me wrong though, I loved my Converse (and still do!), but I always wanted the Vans. So guess what I got for Christmas? Well, you probably know now from reading that story, but I got my longed for checked Vans. They make my (mostly black) wardrobe a little more exciting, which is always nice.

Those are my favourites, what are yours?

3... Favourites.

Wednesday, 16 November 2016

I feel like I have missed the October favourites deadline so lets just call this an October/mid-November/probably Christmas by the time I finally put this up favourites? Haha! This months items are mostly fashion pieces with a new favourite scent of mine in there too.

This body splash from H&M is in the scent sweet vanilla and oh my gosh it is one of the loveliest body mists I have ever smelt! Remember the ones from Boots they used to sell ageeees ago, they had like strawberry scent and mango ones? I'll link a image of them here. Well, I used to love them but all of a sudden they just stopped selling them... since then I've never really found ones I like, until I came across this one. It is slightly musky but with a really clean scent if that makes sense? And I feel like it smells like proper vanilla, not the manufactured kind, you get me? I tried to find this one online but I could seem to find it. If you come across it in store its deffo worth picking up. It was only around £2 or £3 too!

As for the fashion items, I have been really loving accessories. A new purchase of mine is this black leather looking Topshop purse (similar here). I just loved the simplicity and practicality of this purse, and at only £12 I feel like I got a steal! Lastly, the scarf. If I remember correctly I got this Monki scarf in the summer time. It was reduced to a tenner and I just had to have it. I kept it tucked away in my wardrobe this whole time... but now the weather is freezing cold again, I have been putting it to good use. I've found the same style, but in a different colour, here if you want to check it out.

So those are the items I am loving at the moment, what are yours?

3... Autumn Fashion Faves!

Sunday, 23 October 2016

Todays post is in collab with Quirky Dom! Her blog is so lovely and her style is amazing!  We decided to do something autumn & fashion related. I went down the autumn fashion faves route and Dom put together three autumn looks

So, on with the post! My first favourite has to be the bell sleeve top. I know, I know, I keep going on about them but I love em! Just a small detail like a flared sleeve can make all the difference to an otherwise boring outfit. The one pictured above is from Zara, can you believe it was only £18! I've worn it so much already and had loads of compliments about it.

A new trend I love this year is the metallic tee (is it even a trend this year? haha! I like it anyway!). I have never been one for metallics, I've always shied away from them... but this year I am giving them a go. The silver pleated tee is from Primark, it only cost me £8. Amazing right?! This paired with a long coat, black jeans and a thick scarf is the perfect (and unconventional?) autumn outfit!

And finally, a kind of love & hate relationship, the suede cord choker. I am not the biggest fan of chokers. I mean I like the thin cord ones and the chain ones, but I am still undecided about the larger material ones everyone seems to be wearing. I think this cowboy looking one is more my style, I just need to learn to keep it on for longer than an hour. They start to annoy me after a while haha! Mine was from Amazon, around £3 I think.

These are not the traditional autumn trends, like thick jumpers or dark lips. These are what I am loving this year. What is your fashion fave this autumn?

Oh, and don't forget to check out Dom's blog!!

3... September Favourites.

Wednesday, 28 September 2016

We are coming towards the end of September now and that means one thing... one step closer to Halloweeeeeen! Anyway, on with the September faves.

So it's no secret (on my insta) that I have an obsessed with my new Next loafers. I did a whole post on them here. They are super comfortable and affordable too! I have been wearing them loads recently and they have worn really well to.

A beauty favourite of September is the L'oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Cleansing Oil. I use this to remove my make up before I have a shower or go to bed. It literally melts the make up away and leaves my skin feeling super soft.

And finally a new favey scent of mine, Vera Wang Love Struck. I have run out of my YSL Black Opium perfume *sobs*, so I needed something as a quick fix and Vera Wang fit the bill! With notes of pink guava, mandarin, tuberose, lotus blossom, she musk and precious wood, this scent is the perfect everyday fragrance. I know this isn't a new scent on the market but it is still as beautiful as ever.

Throughout September I have definitely been adding a more feminine elements to my style (from beauty to fashion) and I am loving it!

What has been your September muse?

3... (Late) July Favourites.

Thursday, 11 August 2016

My July favourites are a little late, but hey ho! Better late than never, right? So, first off is of course the Sleek Highlighting palette. I am not going to babble on about it (I have a whole post on it right here) but I will say it is amazing and you that you needed to go and buy it!

Another fave this month is my new room! I am not revealing too much, although I did put a cheeky snap of it on my Instagram. I want to do a post dedicated to the new bits I have added, so you will see everything in that post!

And finally, my new little babes. I got my Canon 700D right at the end of July, but I had to include it in my favourites. The quality of this camera is unbelievable! I have been taking pictures of bloody everything... It is just so good and well worth the money.

Do you have any favourites for July?

My Faux-chella! Inspired By TickPick.

Monday, 30 May 2016

Today I am back with a festival inspired post... Lets call it Faux-chella. Its basically a fake (sadly, haha) festival with my ideal line up of bands and artists! This poster was created by TickPick, a great company that allows you to buy, sell and bid on concert tickets. A pretty handy website when you come to think of it. They offer a wide variety from concerts, to music festivals and they even have NFL tickets for all of you sporty guys and gals. The season is coming so snap up your tickets!

So, onto the Faux-chella! My line up is pretty unique I guess... I haven't gone with a theme or anything. I have literally just gone with bands and artists that I am loving at the minute.

The first has got to be The xx. I could listen to these forever! I mentioned a song of theirs in my 3...Songs post. I love their old stuff the best, its just so relaxing.

I love every song Coldplay have ever released. Again, I find them pretty relaxing to listen to but I love their more up beat sounds too. Errrrbody loves a bit of Coldplay.

The 1975 would fit in great in a festival atmosphere. I'd love to see these live one day, maybe at a festival ey ;)

I'd slow things down a bit with Adele. I know she isn't the typical festival entertainment but I do think it would be magical! I love her new song Send My Love as it is a bit more unusual for her, but its amazing!
I enjoy The Weeknds older stuff a little more than the new music he has been releasing, so I would deffo get him to play that. After all it is my music festival, right? Haha! Anyway, listen to this... This is the stuff I like of his.

These two. I wish they'd just get married and have babies already! I'd get Drake & Rihanna to preform together because they are just heavenly. Their new albums are pretty good too!

So, let me know what your prefect line up would be!? And don't forget to check out TickPick for all of your ticket needs!

Summer Essentials: Fashion.

Monday, 23 May 2016

So its Summer essentials time again! This time I thought I would separate this post in to 3 categories; fashion, beauty & food. So, to kick it off I thought I would share my fashion must haves!

The first being, white tops. In summer I live in white tops! I swap my thick, woollen knits for cool white basics. I recently picked this flared sleeved top from Next. I hadn't been into Next for agesss but I popped in recently and found this gem for just £22, bargain!

Another love are Birkenstocks. I had the cheapy ones from Primark last year and I lived in them! So, I thought that I would invest in some proper ones this year. I picked up these ones from TK Maxx for £30 (well, I had a £15 gift card too so technically I got them for £15!!).

And finally... sunnies. I have a decent collection of glasses now (you can see a few of them in my old sunglasses collection) but these have to be my favourites. I got them from a vintage shop in London for just a fiver. They fit my face really well and the shape is super flattering.

What are your summer go to's?

3...April Favourites.

Monday, 2 May 2016

To finish off my (attempt at) 3 posts a week thing I had going on I thought I would post about my 3 April favourites (I really like the number 3 don't I?!).

My first fave has been blogging, oh how cliché! But I have actually really enjoyed it this month. I've enjoyed planning the posts (I have been super inspired!), taking the pictures and typing away. Although I haven't posted 3 times a week every week, I have posted more than I usually do. That deserves a gold star for trying, right?

My second favourite of this month has been wearing hoop earrings. I don't even leave the house with out any in any more! The three pairs above are from Topshop, H&M and a local jewellers, but you can find them everywhere now a days.

And finally, this little W7 quad. I cannot for the life of me remember where I picked this up, but I vaguely remember it only being a few pounds (I've linked it on Amazon anyway). I use this everyday, just to add a splash of colour to my lids. The white shade is also great for highlighting the brow bone and tear duct too.

Have you been loving anything this month?

3...Songs.

Thursday, 21 April 2016

Sorry about the lack of posts recently :( I went to my mums last week, had to work over the weekend then on Monday I fell ill and didn't have the energy to do anything. But I am feeling better today so I wanted to get back into the swing of things with a music kinda post. I am not the biggest music nerd but I do love to listen to the radio, old vinyl's and hunt for new music.

I've loved The 1975 for a good few years now. All of their songs, old and new, massively remind me of college days! I don't think I've ever disliked any of their music, its just easy to listen to when I want to crack on with some jobs and have a sing along.

I hate to admit this but I first heard this song on Kylie Jenner's glosses video... since then I have had it on repeat. You know when you hear a song and it just reminds you of summer, well this is that kind of song. Trust me, when you live with the British weather you need a little summer sound pick me up (although the weather hasn't been too bad recently!).

This is an oldddd song now but I still love it. Again, it reminds me of when I was at college. I am into the whole nostalgic things at the moment I think aha. This and any of The xx songs remind me of sitting in my old art class room most likely making a mess haha.

Do any songs bring back old memories to you?

YSL Black Opium.

Sunday, 10 January 2016

For Christmas I received YSL Black Opium Eau De Parfum like the other 80% of the population...according to Instagram anyway! There has already been a million and one posts on this perfume but I still wanted to do one, just to give my opinion on the product.

"Black Coffee – for a shot of adrenaline; White Florals – to instantly seduce; and Vanilla – for sweetness and sensuality."

The smell of this perfume reminds me of one I used to wear at school. It was a Morgan one which was about £5, ohhh the old days aha! It only reminds me of it because of the super sweet fragrance...but something about Black Opium makes you feel more luxurious and sophisticated, the scent is not too sickly either. Maybe it is the black coffee that slightly covers the super sweet smell or the vanilla that makes it feel more mature and womanly.
A lot of people say they wear this as an evening fragrance but I deffo think its lovely to wear during the day too!
All in all I absolutely love it, it is definitely more of a 'grown up' scent for me which I love and need as I am 20 in February...whaaaat!

Anyway, that's my short review. Have you tried YSL Black Opium?

3...Relaxing Things.

Thursday, 7 January 2016

After the holiday madness I think we could all do with a bit of relaxation, I know I could. So today I am sharing 3 things that relax me.
A Lush bath has to be at the top of the list. Its the easiest thing to do, just add a bath bomb or crumble a bubble bar under the running tap, moisturise and chill.
Another thing that relaxes me is reading. I cant really get into novels or any kind of deep book so I like to flick through a 'coffee table' kinda book. I got The Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible for Christmas and I love it. It is a super easy read for a few minutes or so. Finally, listening to music with headphones in. Any kind of music relaxes me I either put the radio on or, as of recent, Justin Biebers new album...I'm a bloody belieber now!
What do you do to relax?

3...December(ish) Favourites.

Monday, 21 December 2015

I know this is a tad early for a December favourites but I had a few items that I wanted to share with you. The first being sleeveless jumpers, yes you're probably thinking 'what is the point in a sleeveless jumper?' paired with a long sleeved top underneath it makes the perfect combo. I love the look of them and they are super easy to throw on with leggings or jeans. The top two are from Primark but my favourite one, which is in the wash, is from H&M. The other fashion item I have been loving is my grey blanket scarf. Again it is from Primark and it was only £7! I am loving Primark at the minute... I always prefer their A/W things to their S/S collections.

My last fave is this eye shadow duo. I bought the Mac Bronze from a beauty shop, which sells discounted Mac products. I loved the colour but when I applied it to the eye it just didn't settle and it felt sticky. I went back on the hunt for a copper eye shadow and came across Mac coppering when I was at the Trafford. I fell in love with the bright red/orange copper. When I applied them together it was the exact look I was going for and I have been wearing it ever since.
Those are my *very early* December favourites, what are yours?

Christmas Decorations 2015.

Sunday, 6 December 2015

I don't know about you, but my Christmas decs went up on the 30th of November ready for the beginning of December... I would have put them up way sooner if I would had the time.
Anyway, I thought it was about time I showed you them.

had collected an array of red, white and kitsch looking individual decorations over the past couple of years. A lot of them where from last year, when I raided the christmas aisles on christmas eve to get some of the discounted decs. I collect a few individual decorations every year so when I get my own house/flat and get a massive REAL Christmas tree (my dad refuses to get a real one) I will have more than enough to decorate it with.

Besides the discounted ones, I have picked up a few from the church Christmas fairs my village holds and collected some which had been passed down.

A lot of people don't really decorate their room for Christmas but I love too. I spend a good amount of time in my bedroom so why not decorate it according to the seasons!
How do you like to decorate at christmas?
