How To Achieve Flawless Skin.

Sunday 28 February 2016
Yes, I can see that my make up looks very white but I cant help being pale :(
I didn't really know what to name this post. I didn't want it to sound like some magical product that clears up spots, because its not. It's just a little make-up trick I picked up from the Youtubes (here's my channel ;)). Its good as well because you do not have to use a certain product. As long as you have any sort of foundation and powder, you are good to go!

To achieve the 'flawless' skin look I applied my foundation and concealer normally, using my Real Techniques buffing brush. Then, instead of using the Real Techniques powder brush to apply the powder (I use a super cheap one) I buff the powder into the skin, using the buffing brush again. Not only does it give the skin a smooth and clear finish, it also evens out the discoloured parts of my skin that my foundation did not cover. Once I have the desired finish I just lightly go over my skin with the powder brush to get rid of any loose powder, then gently pat the skin to make sure my face doesn't look 'dusty'. This trick works wonders for me personally and my make-up lasts a lot longer throughout the day. Like I said this works well for me but it might be different for other people.

Let me know if you give this a try and how it works for you!

A London Evening.

Wednesday 24 February 2016

I thought I would end this little series with my favourite video that I created, a London evening. I am actually heading back down to London next week so let me know if you'd like to see more of these videos/posts!

Enjoy!

Moor Mill - Bricket Wood.

Sunday 21 February 2016

Hey guys! This is the second video from my little London series. Just before the sun set we decided to visit a little pub in Bricket Wood. It was so pretty and scenic that pictures didn't do it justice, this is when I decided to create a video. It then lead me to filming my trip to the Saatchi gallery (which is already up) and the final vid which will be up Wednesday. So watch out!

I hope you enjoy!

Primark Candles.

Wednesday 17 February 2016

So in my new homey bits post I included a little primark candle I received for my birthday. As well as the wild orchid candle, pictured above, I got gifted another 4... so I thought I would do a little first impressions!

Wild Orchid (grey) - If you like fresh/perfumey scents then you will probably like this one! It reminds me of a posh shop scent... you know what I mean? Like you walk into a expensive store and it has that really clean, perfumed smell. I know what I mean haha.

White Tea & Peony (blue) - Again, this is a fresh scent but it smells a lot more sweeter and a little more feminine than Grey Orchid, which is quite masculine.

Pink Grapefruit (pink) - This one is fruity (obvs) but sickly too. If you are into sweeter scent rather than fresh ones I deffo recommend Pink Grapefruit.

Pineapple & Ginger (yellow) - To be honest this scent just smells of pineapple to me. You can slightly smell the ginger, but it just basically smells like pineapple juice. There isn't much more to say really, just pineapple juice.

Madagascan Vanilla (white) - This is just the basic really innet. Everyone knows the warming, homely scent of vanilla!

You can see the size of the jar in comparison to my hand in the first image. They are pretty dinky, but I noticed on the label that it says they burn for 16hrs. If they do that's pretty good as they are only £1! I'll be sure to keep you updated.

Have you ever tried Primark's candles?

Saatchi Gallery - London.

Sunday 14 February 2016

On Wednesday (3rd) I went down to London to stay with my mum for the week until Sunday (7th), my birthday! Whilst I was down there I was going to do the usual, write about the places I've been and throw in a couple of (probably crappy) photos. I realised that I didn't want to do that this time, so I put together a little series of 3 (most likely crappy) videos about 3 of my favourite places we visited. This was actually the second video I created but I wanted to show this first. So, here it is... The Saatchi Gallery.

Excuse the quality, I filmed it all on my little IPhone. I don't have the best equipment just yet aha. Let me know what you think!

A Few New Homey Bits.

Wednesday 10 February 2016

I am writing this very angrily (is that even a word? pha!) right now... I planned to post a little video I made whilst I was in London for my birthday, but some how I have deleted it. I don't know how and I don't know if I can recover it... well there are 3 of them I wanted to post. Anyway fingers crossed I can recover them and hopefully have them up soon, so keep your eyes peeled! Rightio, onto today's post! Over the past month I have collected a few 'homey' bits, from my stay in London and my birthday and just shopping in general.

Lets start with birthday presents! My mum bought me a few books but this book about black and white photography is deffo my favourite. I am not entirely sure where she got it from but it is so handy to have!
My sister bought me the huge plant you can see above, along with some little candles from primark (that's a separate post). They smell amazing!
When I stay at my mums I always visit Tiger. They don't have any stores near me, so it is a deffo must on my places to visit list. The geometric candle holder was like £2 (barg), the candles were 2 for £1 (double barg) and the tin candle holder was a whole £1 (barg of the year!).
And to finish off, the cutest little tea cup ever! You can see a better picture of it here. It was a fiver from TKMaxx, which I thought was kinda steep for a cup but hey-ho its pretty who caresss.

Those are a few of the new bits I have collected over the post month or so. Have you picked up any bargains recently?

Finding Your Own Style...

Thursday 4 February 2016

Finding my own style has definitely been difficult for me. I still don't have my 'own' style but I reckon I am on the right path. I have a few tips and tricks I have picked up along the way the first one being...
NEVER (underlined a million times) buy an item of clothing, décor or anything (!!!) just because you have seen a blogger or celeb wearing/using it. I am guilty of doing this, I think a lot of people are to be honest. I remember, a few years ago, I bought a blouse just because I saw youtuber/blogger wearing it. I wore it once and never wore it again. Its not creating your own style, it is copying. It is also one of the worst money wasting habits ever (money saving tips here ;)), thank god I have grown out of it!

Although you should never buy something just because a blogger has it, if you genuinely like it why not? If it suits you, you feel comfortable in it and you think its worth the money, go for it. Don't think just because a product is so 'mainstream' you cant buy it. I mean I like the marble trend like every other person (not copper though, meh). I am also thinking of investing in some Adidas superstars, which everyone and their grandma are wearing but, I don't care because I like the way they look and I think I could style them in my own individual way. This leads nicely onto the next tip.

If you like it, get it! I went through a massive phase of not buying things I loved, just because someone said they didn't like them. Now I just think sod it, I am the one wearing it not them!
That's basically it. Just don't give a care in the world what anyone thinks! If you like whatever it is... wear it, use it and style it up your way!
