£1.50 Concealer?!

Sunday 12 June 2016

Being really pale can be difficult make-up wise. You've got to hunt for the perfect shade of foundation which can be a mission in itself. But then you've gotta find your powder and a bronzer that doesn't look mucky and blah blah blah, you know the story.
Anyway, this particular day I was on the hunt for a concealer to highlight with. I came across this MUA Cover & Conceal Wand for just £1.50. I thought I was getting an absolute bargain, even if it didn't work for me, it was only £1.50 right? They did it in a good variety of colours too, especially for paler skin tones.

When I first tried this product out I loved it. It was the perfect colour for a subtle highlight (coverage wise it isn't that good), but through out the day I noticed my make up was disappearing around my nose and under my eyes. I was suffering from dry skin at the time so I just put it down to that. I carried on using it, soon realising that it was the concealer vanishing from my face and taking any trace of foundation with it. I've tried it a couple of times again but the same keeps happening. I've tried it under my foundation instead but, the same just keeps happening! I feel like this product would be good for people who do not really have big, visible pores. But for me, it was a no go. I did try to cover up blemishes with it instead, but the texture and consistency of it is very light and almost watery.

I am still on the hunt for a concealer to highlight with so if you have any suggestions, please please pleaseeee let me know!

  1. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you though at least it wasn't too expensive. It's really hard to find affordable concealers for pale skin - have you tried Maybelline Fit Me? I know they have a wide range of shades :)

  2. Aww it's a shame that you're not a fan of this concealer. I've never tried it before, but my favourite concealer is Seventeen Phwoarr Paint, it's not expensive and is amazing!

  5. I use a collection 3000 concealer and it works great for me, even at the budget price of about £3.99!

  6. Nothing is more annoying than when concealer comes off and takes everything with it. If anything, it should be like cement! Max studio fix really is worth the money. It doesn't move an inch x

  7. Owh! It's really hard to find a concealer the way you want it to be on your skin. I mean, I have not that dark or bright complexion but what annoys me whenever I purchase quite pricey one, it doesn't conceal that much. Haha! Then there's limited brands you can see on stores. Waaah!
